Positioned in the heart of Murrieta, this Holiday Inn Express offers convenient access to regional attractions and modern amenities for business and leisure travelers.
This Holiday Inn Express Murrieta generally receives positive reviews, highlighting cleanliness, a good location, and friendly staff. However, recurring concerns regarding room noise, billing issues, stolen property, and inconsistent customer service, particularly from management, detract from the overall experience. Recent reviews show a mixed bag of experiences, with some praising the newness of the property and staff attentiveness, while others detail frustrating issues with hotel operations and personnel.
I live 320 miles north and EVERYTHING was great from beginning to end. Let's not forget the breakfast. The overseer of the breakfast, I didn't get his name, was phenomenal. I recommend this hotel and will be back in July for 10 days for family festivities. Great job HIE?????
Everything was going great.Check in was real smooth.I get to my room and I noticed there is no coffee maker. I went downstairs and talked to the clerk, and he said he was surprised there was not. He would have somebody send one up. Two hours later, I was ready to go have my dinner? So when I was going outside, I asked him about the coffee maker, and he told me that there were no longer coffee makers supplied to the rooms. He directed me to the coffee and the breakfast area. He could have called the room to inform me but he prefered to ghost me. I prefer to have my coffee while i'm getting ready in the morning. If you do not need coffee or tea in the morning before you go down for breakfast, then this is a great place for you. It is just not for me. The price was right. The location was good. It's just too bad.
Great stay. Good hot food bar. Only weird thing is I received a call from IHG corporate, they offered me free points for taking a survey. The call was transferred and when they read me my address it was incorrect, they were also incorrect about how I made reservation and signed up for rewards points. When I didn’t give them the correct address because I stated I use my passport to check in most of the time, the person on the phone hung up on me. Not sure if it was fake or not but they were aware I had just stayed there. Just be aware they might be selling your information.
Friendly helpful staff. Clean for the most part. I later noticed my bedding had a stain (blood?) That looks as if its been washed but won't come out? Hopefully, washed. The noise coming out of the rooms/hall around you is ridiculous. Had a psycho above that banged, stomped and scrapped against the walls all day and night I supposed because the beds are noisey. Getting out and in to them makes squeaking noise. As someone else mentioned there's a school near by and some type of talking on a loud speaker was going to for awhile earlier in the day which I didnt mind but something to consider.
Be aware that Google Maps takes you to the high school up the hill from the hotel. Best to navigate to the hotel’s address. The hotel itself is very nice. Everything looks and feels new. Heidi at the front desk was welcoming and accommodating. She even acknowledged us on our way out to dinner. One of the nicest HI Expresses we have ever stayed in.
Due to visiting family, the limited choices in hotels in the area we decided to stay at this hotel and had multiple disappointing experiences. We had to switch rooms because of loud freeway noise (you could here it loudly at 4am) only to be moved to another room with noise coming from the nearby high school at night. You can also clearly hear people and kids running or talking in the rooms above. During the room change, my baby’s first bath towel — an organic brown cotton towel with sentimental value — went missing. Housekeeping said they didn’t find it, and the hotel offered no compensation or meaningful help, only suggesting I file a police report. It was clearly stolen as I thoroughly checked through my luggage and remembered hanging it to dry after my baby’s shower. The lack of accountability and customer care was frustrating. It’s not about the cost, but the principle, and this stay fell below expectations. It’s such a shame they have employees that feel it’s ok to steal from customers who they think may have more than them.
Really clean all around! Hot hot tub, super clean pool (love the salt instead of chlorine), friendly staff. Great hotel all around.
This hotel was terrific! Room was clean and spacious. Reya checked us in and was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Was there two days and two nice selections. Would definitely stay there again.
From the staff at night check in to the morning staff,, all were great !! Karma at breakfast was so sweet and the food was amazing . The gentleman at night who checked us in , was very attentive to our concerns for our two night stay. The young man during the day had a very upbeat friendly personality . As well as the housekeeper on the 4th floor where we stayed. THANK YOU HOLIDAY INM staff it was a great stay for my family including our bulldog, macho .
Manager onsite Reya and her employee Giselle are completely incompetent when it comes to honesty and customer service. My wife is disabled and we have a service dog so upon checking in I let Giselle know I had a service dog (which I always do when checking in anywhere even though by law it’s not required). After checking out 2 days later in charged $250 for a pet fee. I have been calling Reya for over a week to get this resolved and left her several messages and she’s always “in a meeting” but you can hear her in the background talking with her employees at the front desk. After leaving 4 voicemails, I decided to drive over and then I was told again she was in a meeting and made me and my wife wait in the lobby for over 30 minutes. She then comes out and completely dismisses everything, has an excuse for everything, tells us her employee never was told we had a service dog which I did tell her AND I’M NOT REQUIRED TO! She then says her hotel is pet friendly by mistake and then says “oh wait” that’s not what I meant. She then storms off and tells us to dispute it with our bank and to contact her corporate office because she says she doesn’t care! Nice accommodation IHG HOTELS. You have a manager who is an angry person and cannot handle a simple conflict. I can only imagine what the employees feel like that have to work for her. And nice job Giselle for lying, what a standup person you are. Don’t stay here, go support another business who hires morally correct people.
