Positioned between Southern California’s wine country and the scenic Santa Ana Mountains, Courtyard by Marriott Temecula Murrieta offers a modern stay with convenient access to both outdoor adventure and urban charm.
The Courtyard by Marriott Temecula Murrieta receives mixed reviews, with strong positive feedback regarding staff friendliness and room aesthetics, particularly highlighting recent renovations. However, significant concerns exist around inconsistent room cleanliness, malfunctioning appliances (refrigerators, lights), and misleading advertising regarding amenities like wet bars.
Feels fresh and new. Service was great from the concierge to the bar. Friendly staff, even made a mistake on one of our drinks something small we never noticed and they saw it and gave us another and comped us for it. Room had comfortable beds, kind of small TV, and the bathroom was clean, updated and had very hot water. WiFi wasn’t a problem at all. I wouldn’t mind coming back to this location in the future.
Just okay. This hotel is meant to be an upgrade, and in the surface it appears that way. But due to a bunch of little flaws it feels sadly rundown to us after three days of staying here. Stains on walls and furniture, leaking drains, cabinets off their tracks. Plus weird things like agreement forms upon checking in - that we would be quiet. Notices in the elevator to not jump. Are we now in such an uncivilized state that an upgrade hotel chain needs this?! Redemption- we were able to sleep in comfortable beds. Conveniently located.
We stayed here hoping it was better than our other 3 choices. We were wrong. The lobby looks great, free parking, spacious. As we got to the room we were given a handicap room. Ok so maybe cause we were a party of 5. But we were only given 2 beds! Where does the 5th person sleep? There was no pull out or anything. We barely got lucky that there was an extra mattress they brought up. 2 lights didn't work. So they sent security to come and check it. He ended up replacing the light bulbs. The following night we wanted to check out the area but it looked as though there was a kids party going on in the lobby, at the pool so getting around was difficult. If we had known this was a thing for people to have free parties then we wouldn't have booked here. Our morning of check out.. we needed more hand towels so I asked the first house keeper, Elena for a hand towel and she told me she didn't have any more. ANYMORE!? She's literally cleaning the room! So another housekeeper, Juliana, came out of the linen room... THE LINEN ROOM and proceeded to tell me the same thing! This hotel is really stingy with their towels it seems. Maybe this is why our tub still had hair in there. Oh and don't expect the tv guide on the tv to match the show you are wanting to watch.
At first I was not sure, but everything was excellent. The staff were all amazing. The room was well appointed and clean, I loved the finishes in the remodeled room, very nice. I definitely plan on staying there again.
This was our first time traveling with our baby, and we specifically booked this hotel because the room was advertised as having a wet bar and a refrigerator, both essential for washing bottles and safely storing breastmilk. Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing and stressful. First, the hotel should not advertise refrigerators if they shut off every two hours. Having to press a button every two hours to keep milk cold is absolutely unreasonable. I’ve stayed at efficiency-style hotels before and they all had fully functioning refrigerators. Because of this issue, my breastmilk spoiled. The staff’s solution was to store it in their restaurant fridge, which I did not feel comfortable with since staff is constantly going in and out and the risk of contamination is not something I’m willing to expose my baby to. Staff also said think of it more as an "ice box" not a refrigerator....okay then don't advertised it as a refrigerator! Second, the listing showed photos of a wet bar for the two-queen suite, which is exactly why we booked that room. When we arrived, there was no wet bar. We called the front desk immediately and were told that the wet bar only comes in the king suites. We needed two beds because my mom and mother-in-law were staying with us, so switching wasn’t an option. If the wet bar is only in the king rooms, don’t show it in the photos for the two-queen suite. Completely misleading. On top of that, the beds were uncomfortable and the sheets felt rough. The hotel looks nice aesthetically, but the comfort and accuracy were lacking. Overall, this stay was not what we expected or paid for, and I would not recommend this hotel to families.
I stay there weekly for business. The rooms are beautiful, clean and eco friendly, and the staff is top notch, very welcoming and. helpful. I wish they had free breakfast, and that the EV chargers would be updated to work with my car, but those are very minor concerns for me.
We stayed here for a Tahitian dance competition from 9/24-26. The PM Front Desk (can't recall his name) and Security Jason went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and just great friendly service. The competition is once every year and we plan to stay here again. Being in the Hospitality Industry myself and knowing the challenges of increasing labor cost forcing businesses to run lean. Finding quality employees are slim to none. You lucked out with these two. They were very kind and accommodating to my children. Keep up the good work!
With expectation of this place being a nice hotel $200 a night avg, was very surprised to find crumbs on floor and couch when first entering room. Hallway carpet was disgustedly dirty. Only one wash cloth, called and asked for more, 12 hrs later had to call again. Would never go back to that hotel.
The people are great. Very helpful and polite. The layout of the building is terrible. My wife and I both have knee problems so they put us is a handicap room.....at the farthest end of the building on the fourth floor. As far as you could get from the one elevator the building has. The furniture was awful. Only one place to get ice on the first floor. The food in the little resturant area was very good. Expensive, but good. Sorry, but we won't stay here n again.
Wi-Fi is absolute trash don't come to this hotel if you're coming for business and need the Wi-Fi for work, TV Volume was also set to 100 and none of the remotes adjusted the volume. On top of that the HDMI ports on the TV are just props they don't actually work and 3/6 lights aren't working in the room I am currently staying in and will definitely not be checking back in
